About Ana Pereira De Vlieg

Ana The Artist

Painting for me is likened to the creative breath between my conscious and unconscious mind. I respond to light from nature. Mixing colour, attempting to catch the atmosphere, the essence of feeling, is recorded on my canvas and drawn on paper. What in turn becomes a conversation for you to continue, becomes for me a comma in the sentence of my life, living enthusiastically on this side of heaven.

My experiences are shared and celebrated.

Come dance with me then between sunrise to sunset. Dance with me through the waves of palette temperatures. Capturing scenes from across the South African country by drawing and painting from life. Dance with me in the moonlight and let us rest under the murmuring of the evening song until loving kindness awakens us in the morning light.

An Artist
The Brand

AnArtist is the personal brand for Ana Pereira de Vlieg, a local South African/ Portuguese fine artist, art facilitator and teacher.  Born in Mozambique, she works from her studio in Durban when she is not out travelling with her portable easel.

Through her workshops Ana is able to lead people through various different exercises to reach in and draw out their hidden, creative potential. All this whilst imparting invaluable art skills.

Her space is a place to calm the mind, escape into another world, gaze upon beauty, pause, recharge, relax and reflect, experience fresh and exciting insights, feel valued and purposeful and delight in the creative process.
